HYBN participated in Brunei's 32nd National Day parade


Taman SOAS, Tuesday, 23rd February 2016.This year marks the first year Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd took part in celebrating Brunei’s National Day.

HYBN personnel arrived as early as 6am at the Taman SOAS where the grand finale of the National Day celebration was held. HYBN were among the 21,000 marchers comprising 126 contingents from government and private agencies, uniformed personnel, schools, non-profit organisation and community associations.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddinWaddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam stood for almost 2 hours as the procession of 21,000 people passed by flanked by Senior government officials, foreign envoys, and other invited guests at the grandstand.

Hengyi Industries Signs Scholarship Agreements with UBD students

The Empire Hotel & Country Club 22 February 2016.  Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd today signed scholarship agreements with seventeen (17) UBD students for a joint Chemical & Process Engineering Scholarship Programme with UBD and Zhejiang University, China, the company announced today. 

The signing event took place at The Empire Hotel & Country Club’s Member’s Grill, and was witnessed by the Guest of Honour Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Hj Jamain bin Hj Julaihi, Permanent Secretary (Energy) at The Department of Energy and Industry, Prime Minister’s Office.  Signing on behalf of Hengyi was Mr. Chen Lian Cai, Chief Executive Officer of Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd whilst the individual students signed their respective agreement in the presence of parents as guarantors. 

Deputy Minister of Finance visit to Hengyi’s Refinery Site at PMB

Hengyi Industries, Empire Hotel & Country Club. 2 February 2016. Deputy Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Brunei Economic Development Board Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah yesterday visited Hengyi’s Oil Refinery & Cracker Plant site at Pulau Muara Besar (PMB). A partnership between Damai Holdings Limited and Hengyi, the venture is worth more than USD4 billion, and will support around 800 jobs. The project site will occupy an area of approximately 260 hectares on PMB. Currently the main focuses are dredging, backfilling and reclamation activities in and around the island in preparation for the construction. Once complete, the refinery is expected to produce eight million tons of products per year including Aromatics, Gasoline & Diesel, providing enough fuel requirements to meet local demand.
