20 Scholars under Hengyi Industries & UBD Joint Scholarship Programme celebrate completion of online studies with Zhejiang University.
Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Advancement (ILIA), UBD, 13 September 2023 – Twenty (20) scholars under the Hengyi Industries Sdn. Bhd. (Hengyi Industries) and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Joint Scholarship Programme have successfully concluded their studies with Zhejiang University (ZJU).
Dr. Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam, graced the graduation ceremony as the guest of honour, where all the scholars received their graduation certificates from ZJU.
The scholars represent the ninth (9) batch under the Hengyi Industries and UBD Joint Scholarship Programme, a 4-years course for the Bachelor of Chemical and Process Engineering degree. This comprehensive programme includes one and a half (1.5) years of academic studies with UBD, one (1) year of studies with ZJU, followed by six (6) months of industrial training and another six (6) months of internship with Hengyi Industries.
Under the programme, the scholars have completed 3 years of studies in total. With only two more semesters left to conclude their programme, they are on the brink of completing their academic journey, before they will begin their new career in the petrochemical industry with Hengyi Industries.
