Hengyi Industries Provides Support to 12 Underprivileged Families & 14 Orphans in Annual Ramadhan Donation Drive

J Hotel Kiulap, 20 March 2025 – In the spirit of Ramadhan, Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd (Hengyi Industries) held its annual Donation Drive to provide support to 12 underprivilegedfamilies and 14 orphans from Kampung Serasa and RPN Kg. Serasa. The event aims to ease the burdens of families and orphans in need in preparation for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II.

Also in attendance were:

  • Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin Bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy,
  • His Excellency Dr. Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam,
  • Yang Mulia Awang Abdul Hamid Bin Zinin, Acting Head Village of RPN Kg Serasa and Acting Head Village of Kg Serasa,
  • Ahmad Fathi Bin Dato Paduka Haji Junaidi, Head of Investment at Investment Division and officers from Investment Division, Ministry of Finance and Economy.

During the event, Hengyi Industries presented monetary donations totalling BND 10,200 to 12 underprivileged families and 14 orphans. Following the presentation, the event continued with the recital of Doa Selamat and Tahlil. The event concluded with the breaking of the fast together with the recipients and invited guests.

The Ramadhan Donation Drive is a key initiative under Hengyi Cares, the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. Through this initiative, the company aims to support those in need, ensuring that underprivileged families and orphans receive the assistance necessary to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with ease and joy while also embracing the importance of compassion and generosity in the holy month of Ramadhan
